Page Of Journey: Jakarta Hari Ini
Written in the night after i finish my journey from Jogja to Jakarta and back to Jogja again side by side with my friends. This journey was impulsiveness and no one tagged as a study comparative, but for some reason we called it study comparative due to my parent that won't let me go if i didn't make everything clear. So we must named this journey as study comparative for good and my parent finally understood that I lived in my life with such of activities. It might a little bit of fraud based on the reason upon, but at least i got the comparation from my point of view. Comparison between my life and how the Jakartans lives everyday, comparison between Jogja and Jakarta, and most important of all, comparison how people living their life.
Started by single word i found in my head thus became the first thing that shocked me when I got a step in Bekasi, that is Traffic. Chaotic situation presented in front of my face directly and got me wondered, what is actually happened? All the vehicles runs in their ways correctly and just because a second there was a car stopped, horn barked in response. Damn, why so hurry? Got a single second for waiting is a trouble? I didn't understood for the reason of it. Bekasi Station was the first and when i arrived in Jakarta in the next day, got me surprised more. The Jakartans has top ability for driving motorcycle. They can slippery passed through a little dimension between another vehicles. They totally blessed to have such an ability to not give a damn about their lives. How people can denied all the traffic sign just to getting faster and faster into their destination with no hesitation about the danger in front of them? Bro, the light is goddamn red and you still push your gas beyond it? You must be crazy. Nah, I don't know how many the extra life you got on you, but at least i played safe within my Gocar. So on, This traffic situation in these days are distracted me so hard. Jogja must be better in serenity of traffic, no need a lot of horns and whatever, they walked by themself.
Second thing to remember is the Jakartans. I had no trouble with them but i got annoyed when i was there, like everybody couldn't restrain their eyes. Just in a case, my friends and i walked from Stipen's house to near alley from it. We stood for a while waiting our Gocar came to us. The other side of us, people passed by and looked at us with a weird justification just like they got distracted by us because they didn't recognized who we are. I felt annoyed by how they looked at me and my friends. Dawg, we didn't make any trouble over the area and everyone put a strange impression on us. I know i am Jawa and there is no problem with this but you acted weirdos. On the right side, there was no people racists among us (except my friend) and it was quite good. Not all did the same thing, tell me if i am wrong about my opinion.
Third of all the lining objectives, they smelled like dust. I won't put everyone in this statement, but mostly people who sat and stood around me has the similarities. All over the way when i was in KRL, moved to one KRL and step back to another KRL all day long, gave an impression of what the people smelled like. I dunno if there are any perfumes sprayed over the Jakarta with the smell of dust or the condition around me made the situation of smells messed up, but in some point i realized that the condition of the city itself impacted on the people who lived over there. Jakarta is hot and dusty and messy and many more, it might contributed by giving a smell to the people. It was so dusty ngl and my noise didn't steady about it. Me apologize if there is anyone fell uncomfortable about my opinion based on what i experienced in Jakarta.
Lot of experiences i was run into, including the architecture of the city which stargazed me off. Stunned by the building, the city light, the layout of the city, and many more. I live in Jogja which has no skyscraper around the city (let say that i am 'ndeso' or something) then i came to Jakarta with the beautiful personalities itself. J. Pieterszoon Coen built Batavia from the scratch, led to this great popular city and the rest is a history. He might not see the future, but Batavia growth became Jakarta with all the beautiful thing inside. Shout out for the Holland whom lectures us for our future (I won't denied if Netherlands brought so much contribution for this country).
Last but least. I enjoyed my journey and i saw many perspectives of life. Jakarta brought me to be able to see more point of view. As what as always happens, the brighter the light the darker the shadow. Jakarta, with all the modernity and beauty, can't be regardless of the low situation around the city. Inequality still exists, the poor man fight for more life equivalency and the rich sit upon the throne. I don't write this alinea too much because everything is clear until the end of the day that the inequality always exist whether the government take a policy to relieve the problem or they just pretend to be good. The poor is a destiny and the rich too, just a different things to do. We can help as much as we can and need not to force everything to be good. Trust me, not all the goodness get way back became a goodness too.
I write this page in English, trying how far i can write using this language as my preference in my subject of education. It is important for me to put some determination on what i have studied everyday by using it. Sum, i got nervous because my grammar is messed up, but in a thousand path started by a single part, isn't it? Then i must clap my hand and string up every single word i found in my head served sequentially. You may confuse in my grammar, but believe me, writing a page in English isn't easy and i have tried my best. What you wanted to say about my work, let me know by phone me. I really appreciate it.
Thank you
